TechTransLab is the company behind Quizzz, an AI learning platform for independent language tutors. We are a small product company in Taipei that designs, builds and operates its own software — no client work, no agency retainers.

DO
The problem
An independent language tutor teaches all day and then spends the evening writing quizzes by hand. The work is slow, it never scales, and at the end of it the tutor still has no reliable picture of what each individual learner actually knows. Off-the-shelf quiz tools do not help: they are built for one language, and they treat an assessment as a game rather than as evidence.
Who we build for
Independent language tutors, one-on-one teachers and small language schools — the long tail of private tutoring that sits outside school IT procurement. They teach Japanese, Chinese, English and 40+ other languages, mostly online, mostly alone. Teachers in more than 30 countries have signed up so far.
How we make money
Quizzz is a freemium SaaS subscription: a free tier, and paid Go and Pro plans that unlock class management, embeddable widgets, branded domains and higher AI limits. Pro tutors can also sell lessons and materials through the marketplace, where we take a flat 15% commission on each transaction.
QUIZZZ
AI learning platform for language tutors
Quizzz connects three things that normally live apart: what a tutor teaches, what each learner understands, and what that learner should practise next. Teaching material goes in, language-aware assessments come out, students answer them through a link, and every answer feeds a learning history that decides the next round of practice.
AI quiz generation
Paste a vocabulary list, a textbook passage, a PDF or a URL and get a complete assessment back: questions, plausible distractors and per-question explanations. Twelve question types, from multiple choice and cloze to listening, reading comprehension, matching, crossword and word search.
Built for language learning
Generation covers 40+ languages, with script-aware reading support where it matters: furigana for Japanese, pinyin with a zhuyin toggle for Chinese, RTGS romanization for Thai. Text-to-speech listening audio in 39 languages, plus stroke-order practice for kana and hanzi. Exam profiles follow real syllabi — JLPT, TOCFL, HSK, TOPIK, GEPT.
Zero-friction distribution
Students open a Magic Link and start answering — no account, no app, no login. Teachers hand out links, QR codes for the classroom wall, or embed a quiz widget on their own site. Every tutor also gets a branded profile page on their own domain.
Evidence, not vibes
Every submission is graded automatically and rolled into per-student weakness profiles and class-wide trends. Teachers see which grammar point or vocabulary band is failing, then generate targeted follow-up practice from that same evidence in one click.
Student portal
Learners get their own space for assigned work and self-study: an AI study chat that turns their own files into flashcards and drills, spaced-repetition review, and an adaptive learning path that keeps returning to what they got wrong.
Tutoring business tools
Professional tutors take bookings, sell lesson packages and publish paid materials through a marketplace built on Stripe Connect, where the tutor is the merchant of record and the platform takes a flat 15% commission.

Owns the student side of Quizzz: the self-study portal, the practice and review flow, and the learner-facing experience.
